2024 Subaru Crosstrek: Will Bring a More Stylish Exterior

2024 Subaru Crosstrek – Recently, the crossover, known outside North America as the Subaru XV, returned in a new spy material that showed more of its design.

Thanks to new renderings worked on Kolesa.ru, and we can already see what is hidden behind camouflage. It’s certainly great to watch this new Crosstrek digital image before anyone else does.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek

2024 Subaru Crosstrek

The rendering here is based on the latest spy shot and depicts the model from all angles. He looks very stylish, modern, and dashing.

There is a general resemblance between this upcoming model and the current model, but significant changes.

Its lower fascia now has a trapezoidal shape. Its grille has an upright model in the middle, and the road has a wavy trapezoidal pattern. The headlights also appear to have a sharper style.

On the side, the shape of the greenhouse is similar to the current Subaru Crosstek model. There is ventilation on the back around the front wheel for the next edition.

This hatchback model car’s rear pillar and glass look steeper than the existing Subaru Crosstrek.

The taillights have a more evident bracket shape on each backside. The vertical outlet is on the rear bumper behind the wheel.

We expect the redesigned Crosstrek 2024 to continue to be the same size as the current models on sale but come with a sharper, updated design borrowed from the all-new WRX sedan.

Crosstrek should receive more intelligent headlights, a more prominent grille, and a more angular front fascia.

We expect the body cladding to get more significant around the side of the SUV. The rear lights will adopt a new C-shaped design on the back, while the redesigned bumper will have a sturdier look.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek Interior

The interior of the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek should benefit from a complete redesign that we expect will have many of the same designs as the new WRX.

The center console will get a large, vertically oriented touchscreen and a slimmer center console with fewer buttons and controls.

The dashboard will move in a direction that has a more straight line. Gauges, steering wheels, and seats should also be redesigned for a sportier look.

The redesign for the 2024 model year is expected to bring more modern technological features to subcompact SUVs.

The subcompact SUV will be available with an 11.6-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, satellite radio, the Harman Kardon 11-speaker audio system, navigation, and voice recognition.

Subaru has just updated the Crosstrek for the 2021 model year by offering an optional 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.

The engine produces 182 horsepower (135 kilowatts) and 176 pound-feet (239 newton-meters) of torque.

Crosstrek should continue to be offered a plug-in hybrid powertrain as the Crosstrek Hybrid as well. The vehicle comes standard with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors for a combined output of 148 hp.

Safety Features

The 2024 Subaru Crosstrek should come with more safety features. Today’s SUVs come standard with rearview cameras as the only standard feature.

Optional equipment includes automatic emergency braking, front and rear collision warning, lane departure warning, lane guard assistance, blind-spot monitoring, rear traffic warning, and automated high beam assistance. We expect the current list of optional features with Crosstrek to be standard for the 2024 model year.

We hope the powertrain will carry over to new models in 2023 or 2024. So far, there is no information about the future of its hybrid powertrain.

A complete introduction is possible next year. There is no information yet on whether the company intends to launch wilderness variants for the Subaru Outback and Forester.

If you prefer a fully electric crossover from Subaru, wait for the Subaru Solterra, which is currently on its way to the automotive market.

The Subaru Solterra EV delivers a total power of 215 hp (160 kW) and 248 pound-feet (336 Newton-meters) of torque from the electric motor that drives each shaft.

The 71.4-Kilowatt-Hour battery pack offers an estimated range of more than 220 miles (354 kilometers) on a single charge.

Is the Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Whether you are in the market for a new vehicle or already have one, many people want to know if they are making the right choice.

It can be unclear to research multiple cars, and seeing the difference between models can be challenging. While you can’t decide just by comparing features, you can use them to narrow down your choices.

In our opinion, the Crosstrek is a good car, and suitable to choose from.

Is the Subaru Crosstrek Reliable?

If you want to buy a new car, it may be worth choosing the Subaru Crosstrek. The only model (non-utility sporty crossover SUV class) is a light car. Overall, it has been considered more reliable than many other similar brands.

How long does Subaru Crosstrek last?

People have different reasons for buying cars, with some looking for practicality and others simply wanting something that looks good.

Buying a car is usually a significant purchase that isn’t done often, which means you want to ensure you make the right choice.

When it comes to buying a new car, Subaru is one brand that typically lasts well over 100 000 miles before anything needs replacing.

Is Subaru Crosstrek a SUV?

Automobile enthusiasts will often disagree about whether the Subaru Crosstrek is an SUV or not. While there is some agreement that it’s rugged and capable enough to perform off-road, there isn’t a consensus that this is truly a crossover vehicle… at least not yet.

How to open Subaru Crosstrek hood?

In the times we live in, very few people know how to work on their cars. It’s time-consuming and takes some patience.

This can be a significant problem when an emergency occurs, and you don’t know what to do. It is easier to take your car to the mechanic, but sometimes even that isn’t enough. Here are some simple steps to opening the Subaru Crosstrek hood:

  1. Put the car in Park and set the emergency brake.
  2. Open the driver’s door.
  3. Squeeze the hood release latch on the front of the hood.
  4. Lift the hood latch by pulling it straight up to the right (towards the vehicle’s rear).
Is The Subaru Crosstrek hybrid worth it?

Taking the road less traveled means going off the beaten path, especially for a new Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid.

It is not one of the choices your friends recommend or want to be seen in the same car as you. On its own, the gas engine makes it bad-ass worthy.

2021 Subaru Crosstrek Vs 2021 Toyota RAV4

2021 Subaru Crosstrek Vs 2021 Toyota RAV4
2021 Subaru Crosstrek Vs 2021 Toyota RAV4

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek and 2021 Toyota Rav4 are both subcompact crossover SUVs. Both vehicles offer all-wheel drive (AWD) and the best off-road capabilities.

These crossover SUVs may be smaller, but they still provide plenty of room for passengers and cargo. These vehicles have a sturdy and adventurous design supported by their capabilities and performance.

These two crossover SUVs have four doors and a rear hatch for the cargo area. Both have rooms of up to five people.

Crosstrek and Rav4 are not only in the same class of vehicles, but both also have the same price points. This naturally causes both vehicles to be compared to each other.

Powertrain

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek is more powerful than ever and offers three different powertrain options. The basic model has a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder Boxer Engine.

Boxer machines are sometimes referred to as horizontally opposed machines. This enables better fuel efficiency and smoother, vibration-free performance compared to traditional inline or V-shaped engines.

Crosstrek’s 2.0-liter power plant can produce 152 horsepower (hp) with 145 pound-feet (lb-ft) torque. The engine is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission or optional automatic CVT.

Crosstrek, fitted with this engine and manual transmission, will go up to 22 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. With CVT, the figure rises to 28 mpg and 33 mpg.

Subaru also offers a 2.5-liter DOHC engine for Sport and Limited level trim. The engine produces 182 hp with 176 lb-ft of torque.

This trim level automatically gets a Lineartronic CVT. This model should get about 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Subaru assesses gasoline engines capable of pulling up to 1,500 pounds (lbs) when the Crosstrek is appropriately equipped.

Subaru even offers a Crosstrek hybrid model for 2021. The model again uses a 2.0-liter engine, but this time only gets 137 hp and 134 lb-ft of torque.

This engine is paired with an electric motor charged by a gasoline engine while the vehicle is being driven. It can also be plugged in for complete charging. This makes it possible to drive electrically around the city and drive gasoline-powered for longer trips.

Each version of Crosstrek gets the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Acceleration is excellent no matter which powertrain is equipped.

4-wheel disc brakes provide adequate stopping power. Subaru offers a New Car Warranty of up to three years or 36,000 miles, whichever goes first. There is also rust protection for five years and unlimited miles, while the powertrain is covered for five years or 60,000 miles.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 offers a traditional gasoline engine and a hybrid plugin model. The gasoline engine is 2.5 liters with four cylinders, dual overhead cam, and variable-valve timing.

It will come with an Electronically Controlled 8-speed Automatic Transmission. This setting will produce about 203 hp with 184 lb-ft of torque. Toyota estimates that the RAV4 with this powertrain will have a combined fuel economy rating of 30 mpg.

In particular, the RAV4 with a gasoline engine can produce up to 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.

The hybrid model offers an impressive combined fuel economy rating of 40 mpg. The hybrid model will have a 2.5-liter engine and an HV electric motor. This gives the RAV4 a combined power rating of 219 hp. The RAV4 model comes with an automatic CVT.

The RAV4 hybrid model will offer some driving modes for different terrain and driving conditions. It comes with all-wheel drive.

Regular gasoline models get Sport, Eco, and Normal settings. It comes with a front-wheel-drive (FWD). Both versions are pretty capable of handling some light off-road tasks.

Toyota offers the same three-year or 36,000-mile basic warranty coverage that Subaru offers. The powertrain is back covered for five years or 60,000 miles.

Hybrid powertrains get 96 months or 100,000 miles of range. Toyota currently has one of the best reputations for producing reliable and durable vehicles.

Ability to Drive

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek offers smooth driving thanks to the Boxer Engine. The placement of the piston and the balance of this engine means vibration-free operation.

The lack of vibration makes the ride feel smoother. Subaru also offers excellent 4-wheel independent suspension. This adds to the soft quality of Crosstrek driving both on and off the highway.

Soundproofing is decent enough to negate most roads and other outside sounds. All five passengers will have enough space to drive comfortably.

There are 39.8 inches of headroom and 43.1 inches of legroom both in front and behind. Crosstrek also has a cargo volume of 20.8 cubic feet.

Can Expand It to 55.3 cubic feet by folding the rear seats. Hybrid models have slightly less cargo space at the back.

The driver’s visibility is good here. This is further enhanced with some nice driver assistance features that increase drivers’ awareness of their environment.

This will be discussed in more detail in the Security section of this article. The steering and handling dynamics are fantastic.

Crosstrek has a front seat that can be adjusted manually at the lower trim level. However, most trims offer heated seats on the front.

The highest trim level provides a power-adjustable seat. The coating is an essential fabric with leather trim available for top models. The gauge groups are neatly designed, and all controls are accessible for the driver to reach.

Each Crosstrek model gets an Automatic Climate Control System. The infotainment system is Subaru’s STARLINK Multimedia System with a 6.5-inch touchscreen display.

The higher trim level earns STARLINK Multimedia Plus with a larger 8-inch touchscreen and integrated navigation system. There are HD AM/FM stereos and CD players with four or six-speaker audio systems depending on the model.

Crosstrek Limited models offer premium audio settings by Harman Kardon. Crosstrek’s infotainment system has Bluetooth Technology for streaming and Voice Command Technology for hands-free operation and phone calls. The system also offers 4G LTE Wi-Fi capabilities.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 also offers good driving quality and outstanding steering dynamics. Unfortunately, inside the RAV4 is louder than inside the Crosstrek.

The RAV4 has a much stricter engine. The suspension system here is probably better than the fantastic system installed in Crosstrek.

The RAV4 has a MacPherson Strut and an Independent Stabilizer Bar on the front. The rear features Multi-Link Suspension with Stabilizer Bar.

Toyota’s RAV4 offers 37.7 inches of headroom and 41 inches of legroom at the front. There are 39.5 inches of headroom and 37.8 inches of legroom at the back.

The rear seat area is not tiny or narrow like most other vehicles in this class. Subaru does offer a little more passenger space than Toyota, but it’s close.

The RAV4 has 37.6 cubic feet of cargo space that can be increased to 69.8 cubic feet by folding the rear seats. The back seats can be folded neatly and flat, making them easy to load and unpack.

While the RAV4 has slightly less passenger space, it has far more cargo space when compared to the Crosstrek. The driver’s visibility is just as good when comparing the two vehicles.

The rav4 base model has a basic climate control system. The higher trim package comes with a Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control System.

The driver’s seat can be set in 6 directions manually, and the front passenger seat can be set in 4 directions manually. Higher trim levels get an 8-way power adjustment. The back seat is a 60/40 split-bench chair that can be reclined or folded flat.

Rav4 seats will be coated in basic fabric or softTex-based coating from Toyota. The interior is well designed with large gauge clusters that are attractive and easy to see.

All controls are neatly arranged and easily accessible to the driver. The overall quality of the materials here is not as good as the Subaru Crosstrek offers.

Toyota’s audio and multi-media systems feature a 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen. The basic design has six speakers, but a JBL system is also available with 11 speakers, a subwoofer, and an amplifier.

There are many USB ports and Bluetooth Technology for streaming and hands-free calls. The system is compatible with popular apps like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon’s Alexa.

Safety

The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek comes with many safety features and driver assistance technology. Crosstrek has an Advanced Frontal Airbag System. Airbags are also placed to protect rear passengers.

The driver gets an extra bag around the knee area. Crosstrek seats are designed with whiplash protection in mind. The back has a child safety lock and a LATCH system to tether the child safety seat down.

Vehicle Dynamics and Traction Control make vehicles more stable and easier to drive in extreme weather. Subaru’s Vision Driver Assistance Technology offers a whole package of safety features.

These include Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure, Sway Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, and Pre-Collision Throttle Management. There is also Blind-Sport Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

Each Crosstrek gets a Rear Vision Camera and Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Brake Downsizing System comes in during an emergency. Daytime Running Lights make Crosstrek more visible to other drivers.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 is also equipped with many safety features and modern technology. Each RAV4 has eight airbags and a three-point seat belt for each sitting position.

Like Crosstrek, rav4 has a Blind-Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Tire-Pressure Monitor. The LATCH system is also found in the RAV4, like in Crosstrek.

The RAV4 has a rear camera with a guide. Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is a complete driver assistance package similar to Subaru’s.

There is a Pre-Collision System that can even detect pedestrians. A Lane-Departure Alert with Steering Assist helps the driver quickly get back into their lane if it veers too far. There is also a Road-Sign Assist feature.

Price

The basic trim level of the 2021 Subaru Crosstrek starts at just $22,245. Model Limited starts at $27,995, while the hybrid model sells for $35,345.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 starts at $26,150, with the Limited coming in at $34,680. The Toyota TRD Off-Road model has some serious off-road capabilities but will set buyers back $35,880. Hybrid models start at $34,600.

For one of the best deals out there, Crosstrek basic model offers good value. This is especially good for anyone on a tighter budget.

If the buyer uses a hybrid model, the RAV4 is a better value. Both vehicles have good comfort and safety features, but Toyota gives you more money at most trim levels.

Which is Better?

The Toyota RAV4 offers more cargo space and better off-road performance. It’s perfect for anyone who needs extra space.

This is also a better option for drivers who want to do a lot of off-road travel. Crosstrek may be a better option for drivers who wish comfort and luxury with the opportunity to wander the paved roads occasionally.

Most buyers will be happy with any of the options here. Both crossover SUVs offer good fuel efficiency with gasoline engines or hybrid setups.

Both are powerful, reliable, and capable vehicles. Subaru has a nicer, quieter, and more comfortable interior. Toyota has better performance and a better infotainment system. Which is best ultimately depends on the driver’s preference here.
