2025 Subaru Impreza AWD: Everything You Need to Know
2025 Subaru Impreza AWD
The 2025 Subaru Impreza AWD is a compact car that promises to deliver an impressive blend of performance, safety, and technology.
The Impreza, a staple in Subaru’s lineup for over three decades, continues evolving with each new model year, offering drivers a value-packed vehicle that doesn’t compromise quality or features.
2025 Subaru Impreza AWD
The 2025 Impreza comes standard with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, a feature that sets it apart from many competitors in the compact car segment.
This system offers faster response times, more agile handling, and better cornering, making the Impreza a versatile choice for those with active lifestyles.
Powertrain
Under the hood, the Impreza is powered by either a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque or a more powerful 2.5-liter engine that delivers 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque.
Both engines are paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. The Sport and RS trims also feature an 8-speed manual mode with steering wheel paddle shifters for drivers who prefer a more hands-on driving experience.
Safety Features
Regarding safety, the 2025 Impreza comes well-equipped with advanced features. Standard safety technologies include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, automatic high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, and rear-seat alert.
Additional safety features such as reverse automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic warning are also available.
2025 Subaru Impreza Interior
The Impreza’s interior is equally impressive, boasting various high-tech features that enhance comfort and convenience.
The SUBARU STARLINKĀ® 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system, available for the first time on the Impreza, offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth connectivity, SiriusXM All-Access Radio, and over-the-air updates.
The system also serves as a central information display, providing controls for audio, climate, and vehicle functions.
Subaru’s interior is known for being pragmatic rather than luxurious, and that trend continues in the 2025 Impreza.
Dual-zone climate control is standard for the entire model line, as are the 60/40 folding rear seats. The automaker said it focuses on a more ergonomic and calming front seat design.
During our first trip, we verified that the new Impreza cabin appears quieter than the fifth-generation model. The interior looks like a natural progression from the previous generation’s design.
There is also a lovely plastic staircase near the rear seats to help access the roof and secure cargo to vehicles equipped with roof rails.
The 2025 Subaru Impreza offers the automaker’s standard Starlink multimedia system on the Sport and RS models.
It’s compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features an 11.6-inch touchscreen with controls for sound systems, HVAC, and certain vehicle functions.
Meanwhile, the base model gets a standard 7.0-inch screen. For Starlink-equipped models, Subaru also offers Safety and Security Services, such as SOS Emergency Assistance and Stolen Vehicle Recovery Services, and conveniences like a Remote Vehicle Locator.
The new Impreza gives its passengers an additional input jack, a USB-C port, and a USB-A port, so you’re ready regardless of which smartphone you own.
Trim Levels
The 2025 Impreza is available in three trim levels: Base, Sport, and the new RS. Each trim offers unique features, with the RS trim boasting exclusive elements such as 18-inch alloy wheels, unique exterior and interior trim, and upgraded LED headlights and fog lights.
2025 Subaru Impreza Price

The 2025 Subaru Impreza AWD offers excellent value in the compact car segment with its performance, safety, and technology features.
